KNITWORDS 52 • February 1/10 - April 30/10
It's a brand new decade! Twenty-ten!
With great amusement, I read Germaine Greer’s column at
www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2009/dec/13/germaine-greer-knitting-cultural-olympiad. It seems in the past Ms. Greer has been the unfortunate recipient of handcrafted goods that did not actually give her the warm and fuzzies likely intended by the givers. In her column, she warned that due to the poor economic times this past Christmas would give ‘forth a grisly parade of handcrafted gifts’ and, particularly picking on knitters and their efforts, she urged anyone who ‘receives a multi-coloured scarf with fingerless mittens knit right in should send it back to knitty.com and tell them to get Kate Moss to wear it.’
